Why Should I Come?

"Oh well sure, people are all excited about this eclipse, but what's the big deal? I think I've seen one before..."
If you're unsure, chances are you actually have not ever witnessed Totality, the unforgettable and extremely rare experience of standing in the full shadow of the Moon.
Here's a real simple way to think about it: The most awe-inspiring sunset sky you could ever see is on this one specific day, in the middle of the day, and you can be there to experience it!

Famous Falling Springs Mill
Cattle grazing in a field
Camping under the stars

There's more to a total solar eclipse than simply seeing that classic image of the Sun's wispy corona peeking out from behind the Moon, as spectacular as that can be. There's the 360ยบ dusk light, as if the sunset were happening in every direction at once. All the wildlife and farm animals will notice something strange is happening as the shadow approaches. Despite the time of day, it appears as though the Sun is quickly setting. Critters scurry and fly home to their roosts.
